Richard (Dick) Lee Nelson, an Oceanside, California resident since 1988 passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 6, 2022.
He was born August 18, 1932 in Los Angeles, California and was the youngest of ten.
Dick was Army infantry service during the Korean War. He retired as a city worker for the Department of Water and Power, Los Angeles
Dick was affiliated with the Oceanside Elks Lodge, #1561, becoming a PER, Oceanside Civitan Club, serving as President, Oregon California Trails Association, a number of other Western History Groups, plus the Lincoln and Jefferson Highway groups, and the Huntington Westerners, Pasadena Chapter.
